PLN

I started my journey in educational technology this past year. I have learned so many different tools to use in the classroom to support my students learning.  By far the most interesting way I have found to take charge of my own professional development has been through the use of Twitter.  I reluctantly logged onto Twitter in September during my Introduction to Educational Technology class through #mobap.  After using Twitter and gaining an understanding I have come to really enjoy all the resources out there.  Recently, I have been researching using Twitter in my first grade classroom.  I have found several articles and videos of educators explaining how they are using Twitter in their first grade classrooms.  Finding these resources on Twitter has been easy because of the network I am developing.  The Personal Learning Network that I am developing is unique.  I Tweet and follow what I am interested in and want to learn about. My PLN that I am constantly updating is helping me stay up to date on best teaching practices.  I am gradually becoming a more connected educator.

I am really interested in using Twitter in my classroom to give my students a voice beyond the walls of our classroom.
